As I've been adventuring into assemblies this week. I chose a simple wooden table for my project. The wooden table. A work in progress. I chose the project not for the modeling challenge, but as an opportunity to go through the process of building assembling, and documenting.
One of the first things that I encountered was the need to duplicate a part. That including creating a copy of the same part a new instanceas well as creating a copy of a part in order to create a similar part. I was pretty thrilled to find out that it wasn't difficult at all. In my example, I'm going to duplicate the table legs.
To make the process simpler, the process of copying parts are nearly identical whether your creating a copy of an existing component, or using that component as the starting point for a new part.
To start the process, right click on the desired part and choose Copy. Copying the component. With the part copied, now it's time to paste the new component. This is accomplished by right clicking in the modeling screen and choosing paste.

The Fusion move command is not very good when attempting to align a component with existing geometry or a known location and orientation.
Moving from one point to another is the only thing you can do relative to existing geometry. A fairly common need is to reposition an component so it positioned and oriented relative the model base coordinate system. The base coordinate system can be visualized by turning on the items within the "Origin" folder in the top level component root componentas shown below. If a component has been moved and reoriented it's very difficult to reposition with respect to this origin. The following Python script can be used to easily to this.
Essentially what this does is align the coordinate system of the selected component to the base coordinate system. Below is an example of a component that is randomly positioned within the assembly. It's origin construction point, axes, and planes have been turned on. Also the origin construction geometry of the root component is displayed which you can see to the lower-left.
Here's the same component after using the script to reposition it. See how the component's coordinate system now exactly matches the base coordinate system.

In this step, you create a 2D drawing package from the gearbox model and specify drawing settings. To the left of the drawing sheet, the browser lists all the parts in the assembly. By toggling the light bulb next to a part, you can show or hide it in the drawing. Add a drawing sheet and create a large isometric view of the whole assembly. Edit the view and then move the new sheet to the front of the drawing package.
Use the named view of the crank arm you defined earlier to create base and projected views of that part on a new sheet. For example, to leave the small bushings uncut, deselect them.
Using the base view of the assembly, create a detail view. A detail view is an enlarged section of the drawing. The detail view is automatically updated to include the area from the enlarged circle. NOTE You can also use the Symbols menu to annotate the drawing with surface texture symbols, feature control frames, and datum identifiers. Create a parts list on the drawing sheet and show which parts of the drawing correspond to the items in the list.

When exporting parameters to a file, all available parameters will be exported, not just the user parameters. I use this plugin for my every project. Very usefull, it's simple and works every time.
Good work! I really needed something like this as I am a creature of habit and like consistency. So I use very common param names and formulas. This seems to work very well. I have tested exporting and importing, even with formulas and all works well.
When the Units are inches, decimal numbers export OK. Fractional numbers display in Fusion with a double-quote mark for inches. They export as a string enclosed by double quotes, so the resulting string has an odd number of double quotes.
This plugin functions well for me but it runs really slow when importing my csv containing a couple hundred parameters. I find that it takes mins for the parameters to load but as long as I am not in a rush it works ok. At first I thought it was because my model was taking a long time to rebuild but the performance is similar if I roll back the history bar to the begining where there are no features.
It works pretty well, unfortunately the import failes when calculated parameters are exported. This is quite a pain to keep track of manually. Hi Markus. I just now installed this and saw your post. I was able to export that, X out the project, start a new and import my params with your test.
It worked a charm. I wonder if what I downloaded is an "updated" version? Which brings to mind, how does one remove something like this that was installed.
I'm new here, but this might help. I exported my parameters from a project that I had assigned a few "Favorite" parameters to. That meant that they were at the top of the CSV file when it exported. I then imported them into another project and got parsing errors.
